Accessories
Belding Tank loves to accessorize and we offer a vast assortment of accessories to choose from.
Ladders – We follow OSHA guidelines for design and build of our ladders. Additional features that may be included would be a safety cage, safety rail system or an intermediate platform.
Construction material types:
- Carbon Steel Primed red oxide.
- Carbon Steel Painted safety yellow.
- Fiberglass Reinforced Plastic (FRP) safety yellow.
- Others upon request.
Handrails – Handrails also follow OSHA guidelines for design and build. We have a few different handrail options.
- FRP Skirt Style – It looks like an extension of the sidewall. It’s a minimum of 42” tall, provides full access to the tank top head and is the strongest of all options.
- Post Style – We offer this in carbon steel primed, carbon steel painted, FRP, and whatever you request, just like we do our ladders. Due to bracketing requirements for attachment, the handrails are 12” smaller in diameter than the tank. This configuration has your standard top rail, mid rail and toe plate with vertical posts for support.
Heat Maintenance Units – The key word is Maintenance. Our heat systems are designed using heat panels on the tank exterior covered with insulation and FRP insulation case to maintain product temperature. We offer 500 and 400 watt panels in either 120 or 240 volt standard.
Agitator Rails – Our standard is C-Channel, but we also provide I-Beam style rails as an option. We have standard sizes based on tank diameter, but we always ask for mixer Downward, Bending and Torque loads to make sure the standard rail is adequately sized.

Portable Agitator Brackets – When you have a clamp style portable mixer, the only thing you need is a portable agitator bracket. The bracket is mounted on the tank sidewall and extends just above the tank top to allow easy connection.

- Carbon Steel Painted gray.
- FRP
- T-304 stainless steel mill finish.
- Others upon request.
Anti-swirl Baffles – We utilize a flat plate design with structural support gussets. We fabricate internal tank baffles using the same resin and veil system as the tank. The standard is a quantity of either 3 or 4 (usually specified by the mixer manufacturer) with a 1” stand-off and a width of 1/12th of the tank diameter.
Half Pipe Baffles – Just like it sounds, we take a piece of FRP half pipe and attach it to the tank interior wall. We offer standard pipe sizes from 2” to 12” radius at any length you need. Several customers use this for a still well.
Support Brackets – We build our standard support brackets out of FRP and offer a large selection of sizes. Of course, we will try to steer you towards one of our standard sizes, but we can build just about any size using flat-stock material. Let us know about any special load considerations, if applicable.
Site Gauge Assemblies – We offer a few different types here as well. Our standard 1” clear PVC is an economical solution for most applications. We also offer a couple different style reverse float gauges. For harsh chemical environments we have several suppliers that offer a magnetic gauge.
Calibration Strip – A laminated paper strip showing major and minor capacity marks that we fiberglass to the tank exterior, also known as a tank gallonage strip. They can be used with or without a site gauge.
Design Calculations – We offer both Non-stamped and PE Stamped calculations for most states. If you like calculations, there’s no doubt you will enjoy reviewing ours.
